Room Desc: This is a respectable inn, well-kept and tidy, with white painted walls in the common room, tables of various sizes and matching benches, carved from light birch tree wood. On the tables are vases with flowers that are regularly changed, as well as candles to offer a cozy lighting during late evenings. At the back of the room there are stairs leading to the upper floor, where rooms can be rented.

It has been a few days after the incident at Piradin, and Baldwin is already feeling well enough to actually sit on a chair by the table, as he is having a meal - a modest one, consisting of some cheese, a bit of smoked ham and a few slices of bread. A cup of wine beside it, although it seems so far untouched. He wears a green tunic and black breeches, and he looks already much better today than two days ago.

Livessa has not left his side not even for her own fun since the rumors of him and a healer. She scoffs softly to herself and is here once again as he eats. "I sent for some chocolate and fruit." she says as she looks about and moves to sit in a empty chair.

"You did?" Baldwin looks up, a faint smile curving his lips, although his grey-blue eyes do narrow just a touch as he notices her look. "What is it, Livessa? Anything amiss? You don't have to linger here all the while, as much as I am grateful for the company. But something is different about you, ever since I came back from Piradin. A certain... impatience in your bearing? Just... what have I done? As me killing a thief can hardly bother you that much, sister."

Livessa hates that he knows her so much so she just puts it on the table, "What is going on with you and Rayne?" she asks as she moves to your bedside and she looks at her brother, "Are you courting her?"

That question comes certainly unexpected. For a moment it seems Baldwin's eyes will pop out of their eye sockets. "W...what?", he coughs, almost choking on the bit of cheese he was about to swallow. "What is going on? Nothing, really. She... took care of my wounds. And you know I can't court her. Not without father's permission." The latter bit added in an afterthought. "Why do you ask such a question, sister?", he inquires, looking a bit uncomfortable as he shoots her a wary glance.

Livessa shrugs "I have seen her gazing at you, I have seen the look in her eyes when we speak of you marying a lady." She pauses "I have heard the gossip she was in here alone with you for an extended time. Way longer then it would take to simply change a bandage... you forget brother. I know a bit about avoiding things." She says as she looks to him. "you know you can confide in me"

"She was here to see to my wounds," Baldwin clarifies firmly. "It was not just about changing bandages, it was about cleaning the cuts and... applying those bandages." His gaze flickers a little when Livessa mentions him marrying a lady. "When did we speak of such things? I can't remember her overhearing any such... oh yes." Now it dawns upon him. "The tourney." He'll fall silent for a moment, as his thoughts seem to wander off for a bit. Then he looks up and gives a low snort. "You know about avoiding things, sister? Since when?" The mockery in his tone is obvious.

Livessa looks to him and she shrugs not about to let him turn this on her "I think you need your own chaperones." she declares all posh like. "I hired one to keep an eye over you." She had just enough funds to see to one chaperone for her brother.

"You did... what?", Baldwin inquires, almost glaring at his sister. "You mean to insult me? Do you think me capable of... dishonourable conduct, that I would... take advantage of the situation? What kind of sick imagination do you call your own, sister? I was in pain, far from... in a state to..." His voice trails off. "And even if I had been... You should know me better than that, sister." He snorts, as he turns away from her. "I was wondering why Miss Rayne has not returned as she told me she would...", he mutters thoughtfully.

Livessa shrugs "I have not seen her." she says honestly then she rolls her shoulders looking to him "I think you dear brother are just as prone to getting into trouble as I am.." she eyes his wounds. "I have not yet had the princess scold me about my outtings."

Those grey-blue eyes take on a dark expression, as Baldwin turns and glares at his sister. "Maybe, because the princess does not know, what trouble you already got yourself into, Livessa!", he retorts. "And I am not. You know that." That being probably what gets him furious, that she would claim he was not the principled knight he was striving to be. But then again, a sister knows the sore points of her brother probably better than anyone else. "Now... what about you and this noble... What was his name? Lord Zakkai Landos?"

Livessa sighs "he has stoped any efforts".. She says with a roll of her shoulders before she looks to her brother, her eyes dancing "I know there is something happening between you and Rayne, I am not blind you know. Just be careful. I do worry about you." she says her voice softening.

"Has he?" Baldwin quips back, in regards to Zakkai. Then tensing a touch at Livessa's next remark. Debating with himself whether to continue to deny anything before his sister or not. "She is... special," he finally admits with a sigh. "But nothing unappropriate has taken place between us, I assure you. We just talked."

Livessa nods her head to you looking a little uneasy herself at the lack of attention the Lord was willing to show her and then now. She nods her head to you "I believe you." she looks to her brother honestly unable to see him as being inappropriate. "promise me... you will be careful, she is a commoner and you are a knight."

Baldwin nods gravely. "Don't you think I am aware of that?", he inquires, with a pained look in his eyes, before he lowers his gaze. "About that lord... he even tried to bribe your guards. Maybe we are better off, if he lost interest, after all." A sip of wine is taken as Baldwin leans back in his seat.

It is early afternoon, and he is having a small meal at the table in his room at the Deave Inn, while conversing with his sister Livessa. A few days after the incident at Piradin.

Livessa nods sadly for her brother as she moves to touch his arm in a light consoling manner. She then withdraws her touch as he says she was better off without the Lord that attempted to bribe her guards "you think we can give them a day off If I promise no Gambling?" she asks him in a whisper.

There is a knock on the door as a Gaurd pokes his head inside to say that a ."Man called Marcus is wishing to see Sir Baldwin. Says that he wants to see how your doing and wishes to speak to you." The guard waits patiently on the reply.

When Baldwin hears that whisper, he'll look up and shoot her a dark look, before he shakes his head, slowly but with emphasis. "I don't think that would be a good idea, sister," he replies with a frown. Then looking up as the guard peeks in. "Certainly, show him in!"

Livessa rolls her eyes then she sits up a little straighter waiting for Marcus to enter.

Marcus does come in and he looks not too bad, seems he has healed his wounds or has at least covered the pain well. At first he see's Livessa, surprised to see her here by the look of his eyes and then a smile appears on his lips. He bows deeply to her. " Malady Livessa, pleassure to see you once again." then he approaches Baldwin and nods his head to him, respect in a way. " Sir Baldwin, how do you fare today? I had stopped by the other day and you had fallen asleep. Your lovely sister told me you had concerns about a few things and I wish to help you if you require it from me."

Baldwin will remain seated as he is when Marcus enters, and greet him with a nod of his head. "You already know my sister Livessa?", he inquires, a bit curiously perhaps as that may have been a detail that had escaped his notice. "Concerns?", he replies, looking a bit at a loss for a moment. "What do you mean?" His gaze shifting from Marcus to his sister, and back again.

There is a little knock again and the call "Delivery" through the door and Livessa moves to get it. It was the fruit and chocolate basket she ordererd for her brothers well getting. She looks over to her brother and she smiles "they are no longer concerns, you said so yourself the Duke thinks it will be fine."

Marcus looks to Baldwin and nods. " Oh yes, we met once at the market, briefly and then again once I came to visit you." then looking back to Livessa he nods then and looks back to Baldwin. " Ah, well then my visit is personal now. How are you feeling, getting better quickly I would hope." he says politely and then looks back to Livessa. " Your brother is a brave man, not many would have stayed to protect us."

"Well, at least I hope so. The Duke's opinion will weigh little compared to that of the... what do they call her? The High Oni?", Baldwin replies to his sister with a pensive smile. "I am glad you got through all of that trouble with only tiny bruises, Marcus," he says to the man. "I was less lucky, but then again, I am alive." He gestures towards the table with the cheese and bread. "Please, help yourself, if you're hungry." The knight wears a rather comfortable attire of a green tunic with black breeches, obscuring any bandages underneath. He'll shoot a pleased glance to the fruit and sweets that are being brought. "These are for me? Aww thank you, Livessa." The first warm smile today is offered to his sister before he shakes his head at Slider's remark. "I could never have left people of my country to the mercy of those villains," he comments with a shrug. "And you seemed to be quite capable of defending yourself, if I may say so..."

Livessa glances to Marcus and she lets her eyes meet his for a short time "he is brave and stupid for going somewhere so dangerous, hopefully you have all learned your lessons."

Marcus nods as he stands near Baldwin and then smiles to him. " Well, they had you as a target. A knight fetches a high price and the coins you may have had been reason enough to go and take out the most likely threat." then looking to Livessa he shrugs. " Well, I hope they have too, especially if they have no clue as to where they are." then looking back to Baldwin he nods. " Oh, I have figured out over the years that a silver tongue can always win a fight. So I have had some training and it keeps me well and fit."

There is a knock on the door, as Ottis waits to be let in and then looks around. When his eyes fall on Livessa and Baldwin he stands a bit straighter but doen't leave the proximity of the door itself, should he have to make a quick exit.

Livessa looks to Ottis as the door opens and she smiles as she sees him "Master Smith I have spoken with my brother and... I offer you my apologies for being so angry." she says before she hands Baldwin some fruit from the basket.

"Indeed," Baldwin remarks in reply to Marcus, although he suddenly looks a bit weary. "I... hope you don't mind me... moving over to the bed. I feel a bit fatigued," he says as he rises carefully, wincing a bit as his injuries cause him a bit of discomfort. Ottis will receive a nod in greeting nonetheless. "Pray come in, Master Ottis." Shooting him a curious glance as he notices the weapon smith's reluctance to enter. Before Balwdin himself moves over towards the bed, carefully lowering himself onto it as he lies down for a moment, his face suddenly a touch paler than before, waving the offered fruit off for now. "Thank you, Livessa. I'll have some of those. Maybe later."

Marcus looks to Baldwin as he seems to go and get tired, which is not surprising. He nods his head to Baldwin then and then looks to Livessa as she wants to feed him food. It is Ottis that makes Marcus look in his direction. He says nothing as at this time it seems they are greeting each other, though Marcus only gives him a nod in greeting.

Ottis glances to Livessa and nods. Then he focus's on Baldwin and says. "have ya seen a healer, or even Maerwynn Im sure she'd have something to get your right as rain in no time. "

Livessa nods her head as she watches her brother, she moves to help him into bed and lightly offers him some water. She might not be a healer but she can care for her brother. She lightly hums a tune to him as he relaxes. "he has had a few healers here, I have not been able to find your wife, have you seen her?" she asks Ottis.

That remark about seeing a healer has Baldwin shoot Ottis a glance. "You know, Miss Rayne treated those wounds, and she left a vial here actually..." He extends his hand and grabs it to take a small sip from the green liquid inside of it, before he puts it right back onto the small table beside the bed. His eyes look weary indeed, those lids growing heavier as he shoots Livessa a grateful glance. The hint of a frown appearing when she mentions 'a few healers', as he mutters some unintelligible words in response. Before those eyes close, and he slowly falls asleep.
