Northern Barbarian Rumors

"Beware the barbarians to the north." - Formerly Common Saying in the Kingdom of the Two Rivers

1. The northern barbarians ride wolves the size of horses into battle.

2. The northern barbarians can command dragons.

3. The northern barbarians are masters of magic.

4. The northern barbarians can disappear right in front of your eyes.

5. The northern barbarians are evil savages that will kill, rape, and pillage anything they can.

6. The "King" of the northern barbarians lives in a castle of ice.

Northern Natives Rumors

"Those creatures can't be natural, for they cannot be seen and only leave corpses in their wake." - Common Saying of the Ningo.

1. The Northern Natives will kill or drive out anyone they catch in their lands.

2. The Northern Natives are masters of stealth.

3. The Northern Natives are masters of guerrilla warfare.

4. The Northern Natives are never seen outside of their own territory.

Pirate Rumors

"Traitorous rogues of the seas, kill them all!" - Common Saying

1. It is told that there is a King of the Pirates. His castle stands on the Edge of the World, where incredibly huge docks are full of various ships. Some say that this castle is built of gold, but some believe it is made out of the bones of the pirates' prey. So it is rumored that if you were killed by a pirate, your body will be taken near the Edge of the World. Your body will lie there until it is just bones and will then be used to expand the castle and your soul will remain floating around the Edge of the World for the rest of eternity.

2. There are rumors that pirates do not have lands of their own; they come from the Edge of the World. So their home is somehere beyond the Edge, unseen by the people of Felaguria.

3. Some believe that pirates are people who once were human, but then died as sinful creatures and so suffer the punishment of the Gods. They have to sail through the oceans, seas and wide rivers. They have to steal and kill. Their existence after death must be filled with screams, darkness, and sorrow. It is said that they even must kill their living relatives and take them to become part of their crew. It is believed that sometimes pirates do not wish to do this, but are compelled. They can‘t make decisions of their own for the Gods do that; they have no free will.

4. Rumors tell that pirates are usually active at night, and in the light of moon the truth of their dead bodies are seen.

5. There are rumors that near the Edge of the World lives the huge octopus, and the pirates are its warriors. They bring half of their prey to that creature, who also sinks ships which reach the Edge of the World. Some say however, that octopus is the God of all pirates, which unites all these wild and various groups together.

6. There are rumors that there is some kind of alliance between the Kingdom of the Isles and the pirates. That Kingdom has so many brothels and wine, that pirates can‘t be happier. One of these islands provides almost free services, which allows pirates to sail through the waters unhindered.

Western Tribes Rumors

"Why waste such an abundant resource?" - The view of the Kingdom of the Golden Lion on the Western Tribes.

1. The Western Tribes consist of nothing but submissive, weak creatures that make perfect slaves.

2. The Western Tribes are just primitive savages.

3. These people live in their jungles dressed only in palm leaves.

4. Some of the Western Tribes wear masks made out of wood. It is said that masks symbolize their Gods and Goddesses.

5. It is a known fact that the Western Tribes are made slaves by the Kingdom of Golden Lion, though some people still believe it is only a rumor or simply wish to believe it is.

6. If not for the Western Tribes‘ and their lands, the Kingdom of the Golden Lion would be poor.

7. People of the Western Tribes have no armor or sharp weapons, but they use magic to fight against their enemies. Due to their lack of education, their magic is weak.

8. They have High Priest and High Priestess, who are the leaders of all the Western Tribes.

Western Barbarian Rumors

"Nothing good has ever come out of the West" - Common Saying in the western Kingdoms of Felaguria

1. The barbarians are obsessed with marble.

2. Blue tattoos are marks these savages. If one sees anyone with strange blue markings either kill them or get help.

Known Ningo Facts

"...they are a pragmatic people, and survivors as well." - The words of Patrician Agostino of Family Cornelia, as translated by Esther to King Barret of House Brais.

1. The Ningo use large wolves as guard dogs and war hounds, but do not ride them.

2. Mentioning the word dragon in either the Ningo language or the Common language of Felaguria will result in extremely violate, instinctive reaction by the Ningo people. It is heavily discouraged for anyone to speak either word within earshot of any Ningo. The word being written is tolerated.

3. The Ningo possess no knowledge of magic, though do have their own unique styles and technologies.

4. Ningo hunters and soldiers are highly skilled in survival and guerrilla tactics.

5. The Ningo are civilized in their own way, though some of their traditions are odd by the standards of Felagurians.

6. The Ningo are ruled by an individual known by the title Patrician.

7. Ningo nobility must earn their title instead of possessing the title based on bloodline.

8. Ningo do not build castles.

9. Among the Ningo there are no separations based on gender.

10. The Ningo and the Kingdom of the Two Rivers are allies by marriage.
