The entrance to the gardens is guarded by two Guardians of Onimoria. So, nobody is allowed to enter right now. One young lady with her handmaiden was trying to get there, but the guards just crossed their swords. No words were needed that these women would leave.
The only one, who will be allowed to enter is Mistress of Whispers. After all, the Queen is waiting for Adara alone.
The Queen is wearing purely black gown. The fabric is very light and expensive. The woman is not wearing her crown today. She is sitting on the bench in front of one of the fontains.
Lady Adara makes her way to the gardens of the Castle of the White Dove, dressed in a simple gown of a pale blue color. Stopping at the crossed weapons, she simply says, "Her Majesty requested I come." There is no hesitation as they make way for her and Adara slips in without another word. Casually making her way through the gardens she finally reaches the queen and offers a curtsey saying simply, "Your Majesty. I hope I have not kept you waiting too long." in a polite, soft tone as she looks over her monarch silently for a moment.
The Queen raises her gaze up. Her dark gaze looks even more dark now. Maybe because the sun is already gone from the sky and it is a bit cloudy evening, or maybe something presses her heart. "It is alright. I love our evenings and gardens. Please, come now. Take a seat. Tell me, how your girls are doing? Are they alright? One of them is already fourteen years old, yes?"
Adara does as bidden and takes a seat and says, “Fifteen Your Majesty. I have no need to tell you of all people how quickly one's daughter grows. It was easier when they were younger and the most we had to fear was them wanting to hug you too much." with a brief smile of remembrance. This quickly fades to a more somber expression as she reaches out, and if permitted places a comforting hand on the Queen's. If not allowed she doesn't press the issue and simply moves the hand to rest in her lap. Accepted or not she says in a soft, concerned tone, "My sympathies on your loss Your Majesty, if there is anything I can do ask it, as one mother to another."
The Queen does not move. She is sitting like a frozen sculpture. So, Adara will be able to place her hand over the Queen's cold one. However, she speaks quietly, “Send her to the royal court then. She will become my lady-in-waiting. This way she will be able to find herself the best match. I will give her all the proper tutoring. It will be my gift for her and for you, lady Adara..." Then the Queen stays quiet, watching the fountain.
Adara nods and says, "You honor us Your Majesty." She gives the Queen's hand a light squeeze, then leave sit resting there as Adara simply remains in place in silence, offering what comfort she can by the touch of her hand and by her simple presence, leaving it to the queen to decide what more to say or do in her own time.
The Queen gives no reaction to Adara's way to thank her. The woman just continues, "Mistress Madalyn may come back home. I don't want to speak with her, but I want to look into her eyes. The guards and guardians of Onimoria are watching the coasts. If she will come back, she will be braught to the Tower's Room. Then I will want to hear, what she has to say. You will go with me and you will be my voice, unless I will decide to say something.... But she can't be seen or questioned without my presence."
Adara nods and says, "As you say Your Majesty. Is there anything further you wish on the matter?"
"Not for now, lady Adara. Now I just want silence and fresh air..." She places her hand on her abdomen and sighs.
Adara nods and says, "As you wish Your Majesty." as she remains in place until told to leave, one hand still on their Queen's, though if permitted she does reach out with her free arm to try and wrap it around the Queen's shoulders to try and supply a bit more support, comfort, and sympathy if possible.
