0? | Birth: Claimed to be when the people that will become known later as the Old Empire build their first settlement; later to be their capital, and the capital of the New Empire. |
390 | Need: The last marble quarry in the West is depleted, leaving the Old Empire without a source of marble. |
392 | Discovery: The Old Empire discovers the lands of Felaguria and establishes trade agreements with some of the kingdoms. |
395 | Independence: All trade agreements between the Old Empire and Felaguria are cancelled. Multiple colony ships from the Old Empire come ashore in a new land. One group of colonists declare independence; later to become known as the Nation of Ningo, and start to use their ships to construct their initial settlements. Three weeks later a deadly plague hits the Old Empire. |
400 | The Night of Flame: The Ningo are driven out of their towers after an attack, and start the long trip out of the lands of the Northern Natives. |
405 | The Fall: The Old Empire falls. This is a result of the plague, slave revolts, and the fracturing of what remains. The larger slave population of the southern colonies, formerly part of the Old Empire turn on their masters and start to create a new culture. Which will come to be known as the Ni'Ac. |
406 | Revival of the Past?: The so-called New Empire is formed. The Spelunca Empire attempts to recreate the Old Empire. |
410 | Safety?: The Ningo arrive in the lands north of the Kingdom of the Two Rivers and start to settle. |
414 | Divided: A splinter group of the Spelunca Empire is formed when a religious minority group breaks away to follow a new path. The Nation of Caesitas is created, and begins their trek to find a new home. |
415 | Expansion: The New Empire starts to establish their Resource outposts. |
416 | The Limits of Faith: Members of the Nation of Caesitas leave the main group bit by bit, seeking a new home in ferile locations instead of seeking some promised land. The New Empire starts to settle in the cities and towns surrounding Cunabula. |
420 | Survival Demands It: The Ningo begin to raid the lands of the Kingdom of the Two Rivers. The remaining members of the main group of the Nation of Caesitas settle their promised land. The exodus of the Caesitas is complete as those who remained with Caesir settle in the Montes de Caelum. |
421 | Civil War: The New Empire and the Caesitas start to attack and raid each other. |
470 - 489 | War for Abundant Lands: The Ningo form their armies and invades the Kingdom of the Two Rivers for the first time with the goal of conquest. |
May 25th - 28th, 488 | Great Battle of Dragons: In a final battle the Ningo receive help from five dragons, or so they believe. The Two Rivers have little to counter the attacks. The God Melgrath the Mighty manages to defeat one of the dragons; and a magical artifact is used to turn the remaining Dragons into stone. The Ningo are defeated, and it takes seven more months for the Two Rivers to drive them back into the Dark Forrest and beyond. |
Mid-488 | Dragons Pass: Dragons start to travel to, and reside in The Dragon's Scales which continues to this day. |
Late 489 | Return to Survival: The Ningo return to making raids on the Kingdom of the Two Rivers after rebuilding their numbers from the War. |
March/April 675 | Repeating History?: Major Ningo Raids of Northern Granville villages are reported, meeting with feeble resistance from the weakened population. The Kingdom of the Two Rivers grow afraid the Northern Barbarians are preparing for war. |
September 14, 675 | Dawn of a New Age: An alliance is signed between the Kingdom of the Two Rivers and the Ningo due to the combined efforts of Patrician Agostino, Princess Barbeta, translator Esther, and King Barret. |
