"Demons come to take away our children." - Common view of the Western Tribes towards the Kingdom of the Golden Lion.
OOC: Those who wish to play as slaves of the Kingdom of the Golden Lion may choose one of the tribes found here to explain where they came from originally if they wish. Such characters can only be part of the Kingdom of the Golden lion and should set their faction accordingly.

General Information
|
There are many wild tribes somewhere west of the desert. Some of their names are hard to pronounce. Moreover, there are so many names… it is nearly impossible to know them all. Likely for this reason people of the Felaguria region just call them savages; while Kingdom of the Golden Lion prefers calling them all... Slaves.

The Western Tribes
|
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of tribes in this area. Some try to hide when slavers from the Kingdom of the Golden Lion arrive, others accept their fate and offer no resistance, praying that the Golden Lion only takes a few. A rare few even try to offer resistance. Some say there is one tribe that can successfully fend off the Kingdom of the Golden Lion’s slavers. Whether this is true or that simply there are easier slaves to claim, to the point slavers just don’t bother fighting this tribe, is open to debate. There is even one that worships the Kingdom of the Golden Lion as gods.

The Chosen Tavi Ne
|
The Tavi Ne are one of the largest tribes and are also the first choice of Gold Lion slavers when it comes to good all-around slaves. The Tavi Ne produce strong warriors and docile females. As a result, they are nearly the ideal slaves. The males are a great choice for physical labor, and the females are perfect for submissive roles. Roughly fifty-three percent of all the slaves in the Kingdom of the Golden lion come from the Tavi Ne tribe.

The Worshipping Cetza
|
The Cetza believes that the Kingdom of the Golden Lion is a paradise that is far away and is inhabited by gods. From time to time, some of these gods appear and take away some of their people. Their belief is that these individuals are chosen by the gods and are taken to paradise to serve them there. As with humans, even the gods have their own classes; elite gods, average gods, and lesser gods.
These gods also claim the sinful from other tribes as well. These sinful, however, are brought to serve as a punishment, not a reward. These sinful are those slaves that are given the lowest and most menial of tasks within the Kingdom of the Golden lion. Effectively the lowest class of slave. The members of this tribe, however, believe they were chosen for their righteousness, and end up in the highest ranks of the slaves; mostly those that oversee lesser slaves. In a sense this is true, The Kingdom of the Golden Lion understands the faith of these savages enough to know to use that faith to ensure their loyalty. As long as other slaves are given worse tasks than those from this tribe, members of the tribe will follow their gods blindly, and never betray them. They live and die to keep their gods happy.

The Building Ni'Ac
|
In the deepest parts of the jungles to the west are the Ni'Ac, the most advanced of the southern tribes and the only one capable of building with stone. At first sight, these structures might be mistaken for ruins due to the abundance of moss and lichen covering the stonework. In truth the Ni'Ac encourage this growth to help hide their settlements from outsiders. They are a very secretive, territorial tribe. One is unlikely to ever see their settlements, as they are more likely to be killed or driven off by the attacks of the Ni'Ac. For this reason, it's unknown exactly how large the tribe is. Some might even suggest they might be a kingdom; or at least a developing kingdom. Such people tend not to make this suggestion often though. They are among the few that can put up a strong resistance against the Kingdom of the Golden Lion; however, this mostly involves driving away the slavers by being more effort than it is worth. There have been a few cases of members of this tribe being taken as slaves. These slaves tend not to last long due to an extremely high independent streak, and often violent resistance to being made slaves. As a result members of this tribe, when they are taken as slaves, often end up dead. Not from the work but from overseers and slave masters killing them, intentionally or by accident, trying to break them.
