Summary: Jerrick and Zephan talk and prepare for their mission. | |||||||
|
Some weeks have passed since last Zephan and Jerrick had talked. But on this late morning the dark-haired twin has finally sent a message to the blonde one, requesting him to come by and pay him a visit in his chambers. And so Prince Zephan comes, attired in a loose shirt and dark blue breeches that are tucked into a pair of comfortable leather boots. When he is admitted to the chamber, he will let his steely blue gaze drift over the room, studying the interior with faint curiosity. It has been some time since he has been here. A raised brow is given Jerrick, and the faintest of smiles. "You wished to see me, brother...?"
Jerrick raises from his desk chair and walks over to greet his brother. "Zephen." He says with a slow nod. "Please come in, can I offer you some wine?" He asks, nodding to a decantor on the chests flat surface. "And thank you for coming, we have a lot to plan for. I wish to leave as soon as possible and head over to the Two Rivers, we shall get the wolf pelt first." He begins sitting down at his desk again.
Zephan's gaze flits downward briefly, a silent acceptance for the offer of wine. Jerrick knows him well, and there are the two vices he obviously has - wine and women. "I already thought you would want to talk about those tasks...", he remarks with a slightly bored tone to his voice, as he already crosses the distance to the decanter and pours himself and Jerrick some of the wine. When his brother's announcement for their first destination has him look up and shoot Jerrick a glance. "Two Rivers?", Zephan asks, looking a touch surprised. "Gotta plan already, how to get that pelt?", he inquires casually as he hands Jerrick the glass.
Jerrick rises from his chair and takes the offered glass. "I plan on killing the wolf." He says with a hilt of laughter. "Why how would you do it, or do you mean tracking it...If so I would hire someone to help us with that." He continues.
"Which wolf was that one again...?", Zephan inquires casually as he sips from his wine. "A usual wolf? Or some huge beast of legend?" He considers for a moment. "Either way, it wouldn't hurt to have a tracker. And someone who knows his way around there. Are there woods? And where?" The prince shrugs. "I've never been to Two Rivers before. They are boring people, except for one thing. That the crown goes to the next male in the line of the throne."
Jerrick nods his head snorting. "Yes, things might have been easier if the make got the crown." He says thoughtfully. "and its a giant wolf if I remember correctly, a priate lord ring and a pet from the unknown lands." GAME: Save complete.
That snort earns Jerrick a look of amusement of his brother. "Reaching for the crown would be so tempting, would it not?", he says with a cold sparkle in his gaze. "Yet that you would desire the throne, is new to me, brother." Zephan takes another sip of the wine, in fact downing all that is left in his glass, and wiping his lips with the back of his hand as he sets the glass down on the table. "A giant wold then. Hmm. I'd suggest travelling there first. I could sail with you in the morning, tomorrow on the 'Mermaid'. It's a fast ship. Question is, will we be going officially as princes? Or will we disguise ourselves as some adventure seeking thugs, using false names."
Jerrick begins to pace as he always does when thinking over something. "I would suggest a low profile, we do not wish to advertise ourselves I shall agree with you there." He tells him. "But I would not go so far as to disguise ourselves. We might need the use of our station to get us somewhere." <Newbie | Public> Luanda has connected.
Zephan nods. "Fine," he says, as he reaches for the decanter to give himself a refill. "No announcements, just us appearing there. And if anyone asks, we are two princes of Onimus, on a fun voyage." He smirks. "I'm definitely up for that. No boring visits to the king, nor to any of their nobles. Only... if it should happen, say, we are invited." He pauses, pondering something. "I'll take Pureal with me, of course," he states, in a calm casual tone. "A ranger. My crew of the ship. Who else would we need?"
Jerrick nods his head. "I agree I won't have time for state visits we only have six weeks to complete these tasks and Zuhur I'm sure wants me back....Though she can wait, she has been irritating as of late." He says his mouth drawn in a line of annoyance. "I will take a few of my own men, but the fewer the better."
Zephan shoots a curious glance to his brother, raising a brow at the remark about princess Zuhur. "Is that so?", he inquires casually. "Is she afraid you won't succeed...? Or rather that you are tarrying too long and thereby jeopardizing her chance to finally get married off?" He smiles. "I'm glad I'm not in your place, dearest brother. And never will be." The information about how many men Jerrick will take with him remains uncommented.
Jerrick laughs bitterly. "She is immature and childish, I am hoping that will change by the time we come back. Princess Lunanda would have made a finer wife, but Nathan got her and I have accepted that."
"She is very young," Zephan remarks with a slightly annoyed sigh. "Girls tend to be immature and childish at that age. What did you expect?" He shrugs. "Or would you rather marry an old duchess, hmm?" He smirks. "Anyway, it should be an interesting encounter should we meet this Princess Luanda, after all she lives in Two Rivers." He empties the second glass of wine, chuckling softly at the notion. "She looked enticing enough when Nathan and I rescued her," he remarks. "Wearing almost nothing... But then again, most women do. Anyway... I shall have the ship ready in the morning. If there isn't anything else...? I better get going and make the necessary arrangements..."
Jerrick nods his head. "I shall mold her into something I can stand. Perhaps a few months apart will make her more amenable." He says with a shrug. "No I shall be on the docks tomorrow at first light." He then turns from his brother and begins to gather his things.
